A Relationship that Calls for Sacrifice

I came across this article in The New Paper published on last Friday, 20 October. The story is about a house fire that was started by a disabled woman's cat. Her specially-trained dog, Jesse dragged the woman to safety. Then Jesse heard the cat which was still in the house and went to get the cat. Both perished in the fire.

Such a touching story. The dog exhibited immeasurable loyalty towards her owner and immense love for her other companion. (Who says dogs and cats are arch enemies? I know of people who have dogs and cats with them under the same roof and they get along fine.)

A teddy bear for this pair of friends who perished together, in memory of their friendship.
